AIMS 3rd GBM held on Saturday Feb 16th, 2008 and the Minutes of Meeting is as follows:

The GBM was attended by around 40 members.
The meeting started at 2.15pm with new member introduction followed by introduction of our Chief Guest Mr.Radhakrishnan Rtd, High Court/Supreme Court Lawyer by Vijay Anand. Mr.Radhakrishnan gave a speech about his involvement with PURA and the opportunity to use Central Government funds for AIMS's projects. He also gave a wonderful offer of utilizing 2 acre land near Thiruvaloor district for the purpose of AIMS project. This land is worth Rs.1 crore belongs to PURA. The new board will discuss about this offer and get back to Mr.Radhakrishnan.

Ravi Venkatesh gave the presentation of
AIMS's current projects and followed by the election of new board members. Since there were no changes in the bi-laws, the election officer Mr.Senthil Gangadharan announced the names of the new board members.

Vasudevan Jothilingam
of Boston was elected as the President of AIMS India Foundation.
Iyappan Raman of Maryland elected as Secretary
Aliyar Sahib of Virginia was elected as Treasurer
Vidya VijayAnand of Virginia elected as Joint Secretary
Srikanth Meenakshi of Virginia continues as Board of Director
Venkatesh Babu of Virginia as Board of Director
Selvarasu of Boston as Board of Director
Venkat Goundar of Virginia as Board of Director
Shereen Ali of Virginia as Board of Director

The video message of Vasu and Selva was played followed by introduction by the new board members.

We all appreciated the effort of our Marathon runners and the members acknowledged their fund raising effort and support. All the runners shared their Marathon experience.
In the group discussion Peter suggested that AIMS should have a plan to generate fixed income for their projects. The meeting ended at 5.00PM.
